Intermission

I need to take a little break from the game of catch up so that I can post these pictures while they're still relevant.

Harmony met Santa Claus in the mall last week.
We even got her to smile AND look at the camera at the same time.
She knew who he was this time and was excited to see him.
She told him "thank you," and Merry Christmas Santa!"

(Sorry the quality isn't great. I had to take a picture of a picture since our scanner doesn't work yet)

A few other Christmastime pictures of Harmony

We got a lot of snow yesterday and today.  Any amount of snow is a lot for me, but they actually shut down some of the schools today so I'm guessing that it's a lot of snow for everyone else too.
We have a funny short video of our dog Snoopy trying to go outside to go potty.
It takes too long for my patience levels to upload the video here,

So, CLICK THIS LINK you can find it, and more pictures and vids of Harmony

I TURNED 30!!

Yep.
Most of the people who read this blog
(who are, let me guess- you mom, and maybe Stephani) already know that I turned 30 in October.

My birthday cake from Ben! Ice cream cake Mmmm.

We went to Arizona for this special occasion, and while we were there we also celebrated the greatest holiday ever- HALLOWEEN!!

Most of us at my brother's house just before Trunk or Treat
...on the 29th

So I had my 30th Halloween in Arizona with all my family and friends and it. was. excellent.

Actually we were able to do quite a bit while we were there-  We saw so much of our family and friends.  I will make another post about all the things besides Hween and Bday that we did. I have a ton of pictures from my phone I need to upload. So check this post again in a couple days and I'll post when I've added some.

Here's the link to more photos!

Catching Up...Again

So here's a little game of catch up for you.
I have so many things that have happened since Harmony's 2nd birthday,
and I am just barely getting all of the pictures on to my computer since October.
So I will be posting a new post a least once a week until I am all caught up.
That may be a while...

First Up

PUMPKIN PATCH

Our friend Stephani went with us to the pumpkin patch,
just around the corner from our house,
and got some group pictures of us having fun there.
Take a look!

We are really going to miss our wonderful friend Stephani!!

Good Friends, and Good Times!

Ok. So it is still taking forever for me to get around to pulling my pics off of my old computer.  I've been busy this week, but thanks to that Harmony is officially POTTY TRAINED!! Woo hoo!! I used a method my friend Mary Anne suggested to me called 3daypottytraining.com. It totally worked. So, I'm sold.

Until I get the pics off my lappy- here's some other photos of what we've been up to this fall that my friend Stephani took!

Stephani and I have been friends since first grade! She has been here in Tooele, Utah for the last three months, I must say I have LOVED having one of my greatest friends up here lately!!

We've been able to go on a few outings in Utah with her and she's come to our house several times over the summer/fall and it's been awesome! Harmony loves her and loves how she spoils her ;)

Thank you Stephani for the pictures!

We visited the planetarium in SLC with Ben's sister Sarah, Stephani, and her husband Ken!
This is H in front of a huge magic ball display! MAGIC! :)

Ben looking for lifeforms on the Moon
H, Stephani, Ken, and a friendly Astronaut on the Moon.
The gang on Mars.  Yes, we're really on Mars.

Harmony getting cheese on her Slinky at lunch after the Planetarium
We also took a trip to the Aquarium together!
The sting rays! or manta rays...hmmm.
We went to see my favorite band, Rasputina, in SLC with Stephani, and our friends Liz and Ryan...Thanks to their "encouragements" I even got their vinyl record autographed by all the band members ;)
Harmony blowing out her birthday candle with her daddy! Ben made her an awesome Brobee cake (from Yo Gabba Gabba, her fav show). More pictures of that to come soon!
She was totally thrilled by everyone singing Happy Birthday to her
Again- I'll work on getting more pictures uploaded...I have many many more! and some of them are even good ones!

Like Forever

Yes.

It's been forever since the last post.

Honest,
I was in the middle of writing a new blog about Harmony's 2nd birthday celebrations...
complete with pictures and everything!

But, then my computer broke
and now I have to wait till I can somehow recollect all the pictures I was about to use.

It's coming I promise! Any day now...

Pictures!

Here are a heap of pictures from this month.

Turns out so far, July has been a fun filled one...

We went to the Park on the 3rd of July
Our friend Stephani, from AZ, came over for the 4th and took some pictures of us! Uh, looks like we spaced getting a picture with you Stephani! Next time, next time.

Here is H in her 4th of July dress Gma Layton made for her.

Getting blue cupcake frosting all over her face and new dress!!

Then, Ben took me on a surprise date to the Utah Symphony Under the Stars! It was awesome. I wish I could attach a sound clip to show you...But here's a picture of them instead.

Harmony had PLENTY of mishaps the first week of July. This is from when she did a swan dive onto the concrete from the second step on the porch.  The DAY before our family reunion! Gee, great timing honey.  Don't worry, it's already healed up nicely.

We traveled to Idaho again this year (4th time in 4 months! I think that's a record!) for the annual Spackman family reunion.  Here's Harmony and Aspen and my cousin Chad...I didn't have my camera, so I'm hoping my kind cousin Elisa will share pictures with me! ;)

Fast asleep on the way home

This is actually a funny picture from June.  More sad really. We're laughing at the size vs price ratio of my dad's FOUR dollar SMALL soda at the movie theater.  We saw the A-TEAM!

Our buddy Ryan Fullmer teaching H some more skating at his shop, Legion!

This is a short clip of more of Ryan and H practicing at the Payson skate park.
Check out that park! Awsome.

Junuary

Junuary

(june-you-airy)

That is the new name I have given this time of year.
It's crazy.Cold, then hot, then cold, then rainy rainy rainy, then hot...blah blah blah... Anyway.

A lot happened in May-early Junuary. Our relatives visited like crazy!! Ok, not crazy, but there was a lot of visiting going on. First, Sam, Jenn, Cameron, and their doggy Mac, came here for a visit. It was too short a visit, but it was good to see them. Cam and Harmony got along

ehhhhhh okaaaay.

Better than last time.

They both were at the point where hitting the object of their frustration is the most logical solution to everything. So, there was a lot of refereeing going on. But at least I felt better that Cam gave H a taste of her own medicine!

They're gonna be best buds one day ;)

In the midst of their visit, my dad came out to see us! We had a brand new type of family reunion to go to: the Thomas'! (Usually our fam reunions are my grandmother's side of the family). So, this was pretty much the first time I've met most of my Gpa Thomas' side of my family, and it was fun!! They are very cool, so obviously we're related.

My dad,Ben, H, and I made a trek to Logan for a night, then the rest of the way.

We went to Grace, ID for the reunion, so we visited my dad's family's burial spots on Memorial day. A few of my cousins even braved the stupid windy/cold weather (just for me, right!) and came too. I'm so glad they did. I didn't get any pictures of my own OF COURSE because I lost my camera and

I was freeeeeezing.

Harmony and her cousin Aspen coloring

A group shot at the reunion.
How come I can never get by my dad?!
(He's the one in the top row middle in the white hat)
Can you find me?

Last but not least, Ben's Uncle Randy and Aunt Vic and cousin Tasha, came last week from Texas! Harmony learned to say "Tasha" better than any other name she can say ;)

We celebrated Ben's youngest sister Sarah's 18th Birthday while they were here too! In honor of her bday Ben attempted (successfully I might add) his first cake creation: Black Forsest Delight! Complete with two layers and maraschino cherry's in the middle. My only regret is only taking one slice ;)

This is Ben's cake.

So. Who's next for a visit?? We're ready for ya!! At least at our house anyway.

AZ and ID2

Busy Busy!

Boy! Time flies and work sure piles up!

I am going to post a links for all the pictures from our AZ and ID(2)trip right now so that you can finally see them...

My time is running out to get this done, so here is the condensed version of our trips. I'll have to edit the story about the trip later.

Ben and Harmony and I took a trip to Arizona to see my family in first week of April, for the purpose of attending my great/awesome/long-time friend, Derek Isbell's wedding to his beautiful new wife, Teana!

posing with my bff at his wedding!

While we were there, we were able to spend some time with my family and see Ben's extended family as well. We celebrated my brother Tracey's birthday, as well as my niece Reilly's birthday. She just turned 1!

Unfortunately, while we were there, my Grandma Herron (who I'd just returned from visiting in Idaho), who had been ill, passed away. My family- mom, dad, brother, and my cousin Aimee- were able to join us back in Utah to go up to Idaho for her funeral together.

It was a bitter-sweet time, as usually funerals can be. It was wonderful to get to see my cousins, who for some, I hadn't seen since I was very little. My brother was able to visit our home for the first time and of course, I loved getting to spend more time with him and my parents and Aimee.

Gram with Taylor

I know our Grandma would have been happy that we were all reunited again.
She made a point of keeping everyone up to speed with each others' lives,
which helped us feel connected, even though it'd been years since we'd actually been together.
I know we all miss her immensely.
